Natsume's Book of Friends

Takashi Natsume is a lonely teenager who can see spirits (yokai), an ability he inherited from his deceased grandmother Reiko. When he discovers Reiko's "Book of Friends"—a notebook containing the names of spirits she defeated and bound to her will—Natsume decides to free these creatures by returning their names. Accompanied by Madara, a powerful spirit who takes the form of a cat called "Nyanko-sensei," Natsume encounters various yokai seeking to reclaim their names. Through these supernatural encounters, the once-isolated boy gradually learns about friendship, compassion, and finding his place in both the human and spirit worlds. 夏目貴志なつめたかしは妖怪ようかいが見みえる孤独こどくな高校生こうこうせいで、この能力のうりょくは亡なくなったおばあちゃんの玲子れいこから受うけ継ついだもの。玲子れいこの「友人帳ゆうじんちょう」という、彼女かのじょが倒たおして支配しはいした妖怪ようかいの名前なまえが書かかれたノートを見みつけると、夏目なつめはこれらの生いき物ものたちを自由じゆうにするために名前なまえを返かえしてあげることにする。猫ねこの「ニャンコ先生せんせい」の姿すがたをした強力きょうりょくな妖怪ようかいと一緒いっしょに、夏目なつめは自分じぶんの名前なまえを取とり戻もどそうとする様々さまざまな妖怪ようかいと出会であう。これらの超自然的ちょうしぜんてきな出会であいを通とおして、かつて孤独こどくだった少年しょうねんは友情ゆうじょうや思おもいやり、そして人間にんげんと妖怪ようかいの世界せかいの両方りょうほうでの自分じぶんの居場所いばしょを見みつけることを少すこしずつ学まなんでいく。
